HIPS - Balance and Forward Motion

Welcome to my body-wisdom blog. Each day I have picked a body-wisdom card from my forthcoming book "Suzy Prudden's Body Wisdom Book and Cards." Like a Tarot card, Body Wisdom gives you suggestions for the issues of the day and an affirmation to facilitate moving beyond those issues.

HIPS
Hips Represent Balance And Forward Motion.

Life Issues For The Hips Include Whether Your Life Is Balanced As You Move Forward.

AFFIRMATIONS FOR HIP ISSUES
(These are to be used if you have pain in the hips or other hip issues as well as if you find that your life is out of balance and whether or not you can move forward in what you want to accomplish. The trick is to maintain balance and forward motion simultaneously.)

It's Now Okay To Have Balance In My Life And Move Myself Forward With Ease.

HIPS

Your hips represent balance and forward motion. If you have problems in your hips your life may be out of balance or you may be overloaded in one area (work versus play). It may also mean you are holding yourself back. If you have pain in your hips, you may want to look at what is out of balance in your life.  You may also want to look at where you are not moving forward. If you are out of balance or stuck in your life, in your job, in your relationship, your hips will tell the tale.

When you draw the Hips Card you are being asked to look at the way you maintain balance in your life, particularly when you are asking yourself to move forward. Balance includes such things as work AND play, drive AND relaxation, including family time in work time, and so forth. In order to sustain your forward motion in any direction, balance is incredibly important, particularly if you want to avoid burn out.

To work with Hip Issues ask your Higher Self what you need to know about how you handle balance in your life at the same time you move yourself forward personally or professionally. You do this by writing your question with your dominant hand and writing your answer with your non-dominant hand. Your question can be as simple as, “What do I need to know about the way I balance my life as a move myself forward?” “What needs to change so that I can include more balance and still achieve what I need to do?” Ask the question with your dominant hand, answer the question with your non-dominant hand. Be prepared for some surprising answers. When you have an answer, ask your Higher Self what you need to do to include more balance in your life. Do not judge the answers. Do not get in your own way with doubts about your ability to do whatever comes to your mind. Simply write down what comes to you. The last question in any right hand/left hand session should always be, “What else do I need to know today?”

Your affirmation for today is, “It's now okay to have balance in my life and move myself forward with ease.” Write the affirmation on a 3 x 5 card. Carry it with you, rather than posting it somewhere, and read it numerous times during the day. (If you post it, it will soon become invisible to you and you will get no benefit from it.)
