PAIN - Guilt and Punishment

Welcome to my body-wisdom blog. Each day I have picked a body-wisdom card from my forthcoming book "Suzy Prudden's Body Wisdom Book and Cards." Like a Tarot card, Body Wisdom gives you suggestions for the issues of the day and an affirmation to facilitate moving beyond those issues.

PAIN

Pain Is An Indication Of Self-Punishment In Response To Guilt.

Life issues for pain include all kinds of guilt, real or imagined. When dealing with guilt, it is possible to say to your mind, "I choose not to go there." and to turn the guilt thoughts off.

AFFIRMATIONS FOR PAIN ISSUES
(These are to be used if you have physical or emotional pain and if you
suffer from guilt in any area of your life.)

It is now okay to absolve myself of all past deeds, known and unknown, for which I feel guilty.

PAIN

Pain is an indication of self-punishment in response to guilt. Guilt can stem from any cause, any childhood belief, or as a result of paying too much attention to your critical voice (or someone else’s critical voice). Pain can be relieved as you release your feelings of guilt or fear.

When you draw the Pain Card you are being asked to look at the way you have held yourself guilty for things that have happened in the past. Some of these things you had control over, some you didn't. They may haunt you regularly or they may flit into your mind from time to time. The important thing to realize about guilt from the past is that it is in the past and it cannot be changed. Since it cannot be changed there is no reason to keep revising it. To rid yourself of guilt refuse to let your mind take you to that memory. "I refuse to go there." is what you tell your mind over and over until the thought changes.

To work with Cell Issues ask your Higher Self what you need to know about how you can push the guilt out of your mind - eliminate it from your present. You do this by writing your question with your dominant hand and writing your answer with your non-dominant hand. Your question can be as simple as, “What do I need to do to get rid of this guilty memory?" Do not judge the answers. Do not get in your own way with doubts about your ability to do whatever comes to your mind. Simply write down what comes to you. The last question in any right

Your affirmation for today is, “It is now okay to absolve myself of all past deeds, known and unknown, for which I feel guilty. Write the affirmation on a 3 x 5 card. Carry it with you, rather than posting it somewhere, and read it numerous times during the day. (If you post it, it will soon become invisible to you and you will get no benefit from it.)

UPPER BACK-Receiving Love & Support

Welcome to my body-wisdom blog. Each day I have picked a body-wisdom card from my forthcoming book "Suzy Prudden's Body Wisdom Book and Cards." Like a Tarot card, Body Wisdom gives you suggestions for the issues of the day and an affirmation to facilitate moving beyond those issues.

UPPER BACK
The Upper Back Represents Safety, Support, Love And Trust.

Life issues for the upper back include your willingness to receive love and support. Whether you are willing to look at your willingness to trust. Even whether you attract betrayal into your life.

AFFIRMATIONS FOR UPPER BACK ISSUES
(These are to be used if you have physical issues with your upper back or whether you have difficulty receiving love and support, if you are unwilling or unable to trust or you experience betrayal in your life and relationships.)

It's Now Okay To Receive Love, Guidance and Support
From Known and Unknown Sources.

UPPER BACK

The upper back represents safety, support, love and trust. It guards the heart. Pain in the upper back can often mean fear, either of giving or receiving love or not being able to trust either oneself or someone else. More importantly, discomfort in the upper back represents not trusting the Universe (or Higher Power, Force or God). A key concept in back problems is: willingness to receive

When you draw the Upper Back Card you are being asked to examine your willingness to receive love and support. Look at your willingness to trust. Look at your willingness to receive guidance from a higher source. Look at your belief about whether or not love, guidance or support is or can be there for you, and if it's not, how can you create your life so that it can be there for you. Remember all things start with you. If you wish to receive love from the world, you must start by loving yourself unconditionally. Clearing up back problems is a major leap in faith. It means trusting in yourself, and trusting in a higher source.

To work with Upper Back Issues ask your Higher Self what you need to know about What needs to happen in order for you to receive the love and support you want and need. Ask about trust issues, and your willingness to receive guidance from a higher source. Ask your higher self for a visualization that will create the safety to allow you to trust and receive the love and support you want. Ask the question with your dominant hand, answer the question with your non-dominant hand. Be prepared for some surprising answers. When you have an answer, ask your Higher Self what you need to do to shift your relationship with your responsibilities and your inner knowing so that they support you in a positive way. Do not judge the answers. Do not get in your own way with doubts about your ability to do whatever comes to your mind. Simply write down what comes to you. Simply write down what comes to you. You can ask as many questions in this area as you wish, but the last question should always be, “What else do I need to know today?”

Your affirmation for today is, “It's now okay to receive love, guidance and support from known and unknown sources.” Write the affirmation on a 3 x 5 card. Carry it with you, rather than posting it somewhere, and read it numerous times during the day. (If you post it, it will soon become invisible to you and you will get no benefit from it.)

THROAT - Channel of Expression

Welcome to my body-wisdom blog. Each day I have picked a body-wisdom card from my forthcoming book "Suzy Prudden's Body Wisdom Book and Cards." Like a Tarot card, Body Wisdom gives you suggestions for the issues of the day and an affirmation to facilitate moving beyond those issues.

THROAT
The Throat Represents The Channel Of Expression.

Life Issues For The Throat Include All The Things You Need To Express

AFFIRMATIONS FOR THROAT ISSUES
(These are to be used if you have physical issues with your throat or if you are having difficulty expressing things that need to be said.)

It's Now Okay To Express Myself – Even The Things I Am Reluctant To Say.

THROAT

The throat represents the channel of expression, it sings. It is also the passage for creativity and the pathway through which ideas travel toward the process of digestion and assimilation. It is the route through which life-giving air reaches the lungs and food and water reach the stomach and is therefore a passageway of life sustenance. Problems with the throat, particularly a sore throat, often indicate that you are not saying what you need or want to say in a given circumstance. Problems in swallowing may indicate that you are having difficulty taking in new thoughts and ideas. A "lump in your throat" indicates overwhelming unexpressed emotion, generally sadness.

When you draw the Throat Card you are asked to look at what you are saying and not saying in a given circumstance. You are also being asked to look at how you are taking in and assimilating creative ideas and suggestions. Are you bringing into your life things that support you emotionally, mentally, spiritually and physically? Are you allowing yourself to be nourished by the creative areas you enjoy? Are you aware of an overwhelming unexpressed emotion that you need to deal with? Are you suppressing anger that you are avoiding dealing with? Are you disempowering yourself by failing to speak up and out? Do you feel that your communication skills are lacking? Do you feel that if you speak out that you will hurt someone else? Can you find a way of speaking about yourself, your ideas and desires that will empower you without disempowering others?

To work with Throat Issues ask your Higher Self what you need to know about what you are expressing in your life. Write your question with your dominant hand, write your answers with your non-dominant hand. Throat questions might include, “Am I saying what needs to be said, when it needs to be said?” “Am I swallowing my words?” “What needs to happen in order for me to you allow nurturance to flow into my life?” “How can I treat myself well and inspire others to treat me well too?” Ask the question with your dominant hand, answer the question with your non-dominant hand. Be prepared for some surprising answers. When you have an answer, ask your Higher Self how to use that information to enhance your life. Do not judge the answers. Do not get in your own way with doubts about your ability to do whatever comes to your mind. Simply write down what comes to you. The last question in every question and answer session should be, “Is there anything else I need to know?”

Your affirmation for today is, “It's now okay to express myself – even the things I am reluctant to say.” Write the affirmation on a 3 x 5 card. Carry it with you, rather than posting it somewhere, and read it numerous times during the day. (If you post it, it will soon become invisible to you and you will get no benefit from it.)

HIPS - Balance and Forward Motion

Welcome to my body-wisdom blog. Each day I have picked a body-wisdom card from my forthcoming book "Suzy Prudden's Body Wisdom Book and Cards." Like a Tarot card, Body Wisdom gives you suggestions for the issues of the day and an affirmation to facilitate moving beyond those issues.

HIPS
Hips Represent Balance And Forward Motion.

Life Issues For The Hips Include Whether Your Life Is Balanced As You Move Forward.

AFFIRMATIONS FOR HIP ISSUES
(These are to be used if you have pain in the hips or other hip issues as well as if you find that your life is out of balance and whether or not you can move forward in what you want to accomplish. The trick is to maintain balance and forward motion simultaneously.)

It's Now Okay To Have Balance In My Life And Move Myself Forward With Ease.

HIPS

Your hips represent balance and forward motion. If you have problems in your hips your life may be out of balance or you may be overloaded in one area (work versus play). It may also mean you are holding yourself back. If you have pain in your hips, you may want to look at what is out of balance in your life.  You may also want to look at where you are not moving forward. If you are out of balance or stuck in your life, in your job, in your relationship, your hips will tell the tale.

When you draw the Hips Card you are being asked to look at the way you maintain balance in your life, particularly when you are asking yourself to move forward. Balance includes such things as work AND play, drive AND relaxation, including family time in work time, and so forth. In order to sustain your forward motion in any direction, balance is incredibly important, particularly if you want to avoid burn out.

To work with Hip Issues ask your Higher Self what you need to know about how you handle balance in your life at the same time you move yourself forward personally or professionally. You do this by writing your question with your dominant hand and writing your answer with your non-dominant hand. Your question can be as simple as, “What do I need to know about the way I balance my life as a move myself forward?” “What needs to change so that I can include more balance and still achieve what I need to do?” Ask the question with your dominant hand, answer the question with your non-dominant hand. Be prepared for some surprising answers. When you have an answer, ask your Higher Self what you need to do to include more balance in your life. Do not judge the answers. Do not get in your own way with doubts about your ability to do whatever comes to your mind. Simply write down what comes to you. The last question in any right hand/left hand session should always be, “What else do I need to know today?”

Your affirmation for today is, “It's now okay to have balance in my life and move myself forward with ease.” Write the affirmation on a 3 x 5 card. Carry it with you, rather than posting it somewhere, and read it numerous times during the day. (If you post it, it will soon become invisible to you and you will get no benefit from it.)

FINGERS - Handling Life's Details

Your body is a metaphor for your life and each body part signals areas to which you may want to Welcome to my body-wisdom blog. Each day I have picked a body-wisdom card from my forthcoming book "Suzy Prudden's Body Wisdom Book and Cards." Like a Tarot card, Body Wisdom gives you suggestions for the issues of the day and an affirmation to facilitate moving beyond those issues.

FINGERS

Fingers Represent The Details Of Life.

Life Issues For Your Fingers Include On Managing The Little Things With Adroit Strength.

AFFIRMATIONS FOR FINGER ISSUES
(These are to be used if you have consistent finger issues – like arthritis – of if you have issues with the shape, strength or dexterity of your fingers. Or if you have difficulty managing the small details of your life.)

It's Now Okay To Enjoy Taking Care Of The Details Of My Life.

FINGERS

Your fingers represent the details of your life. There is an implication of deftness, physical skill, dexterity when it comes to the fingers. Fingers focus more on managing the little things with adroit strength. Fingers also express nervousness, boredom and pent up energy.

When you draw the Fingers Card you are being asked to look at the way you deal with the minor details of your life. Do you handle them with ease? Do you become "all thumbs" when confronted with sweating the small stuff? Do you manage your life with a strong, quiet, ease? Are you high strung, nervous or bored? Does that reflect in the way you are impacted by the little things in your life. Have you sometimes said that the big crises don't seem to bother you, but the little things drive you up a wall?

To work with Fingers Issues ask your Higher Self what you need to know about how you handle the details of your life? Are your drumming fingers telling you that you are nervous or bored? Are your fingers expressing a pent up energy that is not being released through positive exercise and movement? What needs to change so that the little things don't bother you? Ask the question with your dominant hand, answer the question with your non-dominant hand. Be prepared for some surprising answers. When you have an answer, ask your Higher Self how to use that information to enhance your life. Once again ask with your dominant hand, answer with your non-dominant hand. Do not judge the answers. Do not get in your own way with doubts about your ability to do whatever comes to your mind. Simply write down what comes to you, you can ask as many questions in this area as you wish, but the last question should always be, “Is there anything else I need to know today?”

Your affirmation for today is, “It's now okay to enjoy taking care of the details of my life.” Write the affirmation on a 3 x 5 card. NOSE - Your Self Recognition

NOSE

The Nose Represents Self-Recognition.

Life Issues For The Nose Include How You See Yourself In the World and How Comfortable You Are With That Vision.

AFFIRMATIONS FOR NOSE ISSUES
(These are to be used if you have consistent nose issues – like allergies – of if you have issues with the size and or shape of your nose. Or if you have a negative perspective of yourself which is recognized if you constantly say negative things about yourself.)

It's Now Okay To Be Comfortable With Myself In The World.

NOSE

Your nose represents self-recognition, how you see yourself in the world and how comfortable you are with that vision. It also indicates whether or not you want to be noticed or if you prefer to be invisible. The nose symbolizes your ability to know what you want and to get what you need. In addition, your nose represents your ability to “sniff out” information or if you have a "nose for news." The nose often acts as a barometer for intuitive information about safety. In contrast, your nose may also indicate an unhealthy inclination to gossip, to stick your nose in other people's business. People who are inclined to the dark side of the nose are called, "nosey." If you constantly say negative things about yourself you may want to use nose affirmations to change your self-esteem issues.

If you have drawn the Nose Card you may want to look at how you are presenting yourself to the world. Not only how you see yourself but they way you want to be seen. Do you want to be noticed? Are you noticed? Do you want to be invisible? Are you invisible? Are you getting what you want and need? If not what is getting in your way? Do you trust your judgment? Are you prone to sticking your nose in other people's business? Do you gossip to your own disadvantage?

To work with Nose Issues ask your Higher Self what you need to know about the way you are presenting yourself in your world at this time. You do this by writing your question with your dominant hand and writing your answer with your non-dominant hand. Your question can be as simple as, “What do I need to know about the way I present myself to other people?” When you have an answer ask your Higher Self what you need to do to be more comfortable with yourself in the world. Do not judge the answers. Do not get in your own way with doubts about your ability to do whatever comes to your mind. Simply write down what comes to you. You can ask as many questions in this area as you wish, but the last question should always be, “What else do I need to know today?”

Your affirmation for today is, “It's now okay to be comfortable with myself in the world.”  Write the affirmation on a 3 x 5 card. Carry it with you, rather than posting it somewhere, and read it numerous times during the day. (If you post it, it will soon become invisible to you and you will get no benefit from it.)

HEAD - Your Self In The World

Welcome to my body-wisdom blog.  Each day I have picked a body-wisdom card from my forthcoming book "Suzy Prudden's Body Wisdom Book and Cards."  Like a Tarot card, Body Wisdom gives you suggestions for the issues of the day and an affirmation to facilitate moving beyond those issues.

HEAD

The Head Represents The Self In The World.
It deals with the way you perceive and are perceived by everything and everyone around you.

Life Issues For The Head Include Those Of Self-Confidence

AFFIRMATIONS FOR HEAD ISSUES
(These are to be used if you have headaches or head injury or if you are having problems with self-confidence and the way you present yourself in the world.

It's Now Okay To Move In The World Without Fear Or Judgment.

HEAD

Your head or skull represents your Self in the world. Your skull is the protective covering that houses your brain / mind — that part of you that allows you to function as a living being.  You could say your skull symbolizes your Self-Protection. The brain, which is housed inside your skull, monitors the needs of every single cell every single minute of your life. Your mind holds your beliefs and thoughts.  It produces all the beliefs and thoughts with which you operate your life as a thinking being.   Head injuries are the outward manifestation of victimization and powerlessness. In some cases, head injuries result in the actual loss of Self. Headaches represent the mental and physical manifestations of invalidating yourself, self-criticism and fear and well as those of self-confidence, self-assurance, poise and security.

If you have drawn the Head Card you may want to look at the person who is showing up as YOU in your life.  Are you a victim? Are you hampered by your need for self-protection?  Are you realizing your full potential?  Are you living in integrity with your Self?  If not, what do you have to do in order to get into integrity with yourself and others? How has victimization worked against you in your life?  Are you kind to yourself? Do you beat yourself up emotionally or physically?  Do you allow others to be unkind to you mentally, emotionally, physically or spiritually?  You may want to look at whether there is anything in your life that you want or need to be protected from.

To work with Head Issues, ask your Higher Self what you need to know about the way you are showing up in your life.  Write down your questions with your dominant hand.  Questions can be as simple as, “What do I need to know about the way I am showing up in my life?”  Write down your answer with your non-dominant hand. When you have an answer, ask your Higher Self what you need to do to change the areas of your life that you don't like.  Once again write the answer with your non-dominant hand.  Do not judge the answer.  Do not get in your own way with doubts about your ability to do whatever comes to your mind.  Simply write down what comes to you. You can ask as many questions in this area as you wish, but the last question should always be, “Is there anything else I need to know today?”

Your affirmation for today is, “It's now okay to move in the world without fear or judgment.”    Write the affirmation on a 3 x 5 card. Carry it with you, rather than posting it somewhere, and read it numerous times during the day. (If you post it, it will soon become invisible to you and you will get no benefit from it.)
