Welcome to my body-wisdom blog. Each day I have picked a body-wisdom card from my forthcoming book "Suzy Prudden's Body Wisdom Book and Cards." Like a Tarot card, Body Wisdom gives you suggestions for the issues of the day and an affirmation to facilitate moving beyond those issues.
The Tongue Represents Cooperation, Coordination And Expression.
Life issues for the tongue include stuttering and stammering, and an inability
to communicate what you want when you want.
AFFIRMATIONS FOR TONGUE ISSUES
(These are to be used if you have an inability to speak clearly and if your inability to communicates how you perceive yourself or others perceive you.)
It's Now Okay To Be An Expressive, Coordinated and Effective Team Player.
The tongue represents cooperation, coordination and expression. It aids in the flow of ideas. The tongue is a team player. It participates with the lips in the formation of words that express ideas. It aids the teeth in breaking down ideas. It facilitates swallowing so that you can move your ideas toward the process of digestion. It houses the taste buds that allow you to savor life and the foods you eat. Sores on the tongue represent an inability to communicate, express and work with others. They also inhibit your ability to savor life and nourishment.
When you draw the Tongue Card you are asked to look at yourself in your community. That community can be your family, your school, your town, the teams you play on, the clubs you belong to, your friends and the people you work with. How do you show up in your communities or groups? Are you cooperative? Are you passive? Are you active? Do you communicate effectively? Are you living fully and enjoying the people with whom you are in relationship? Is the flow of your ideas improved by your participation with others? Are you not participating in a community? Are you failing to communicate effectively? Are you rejecting team play? If you are having difficulties with an area of joining in, the question to ask yourself is, "How can I empower myself in the area of participation?" Self-empowerment includes choosing to communicate and to cooperate for the greater good of the community however that appears for you. It includes putting your own feelings of shyness or inadequacy aside and simply focusing on the group instead of yourself. It includes being active and enjoying the various activities in which you are invited to participate.
To work with Tongue Issues ask your Higher Self what you need to know about how you show up in the area of community and group participation. How do you communicate, cooperate and participate? How do you function when it comes to your relationships with others? Ask the question with you dominant hand, answer the question with your non-dominant hand. When you have an answer, ask your Higher Self what has to happen in order for you to participate and communicate more fully in your life. Do not judge the answers. Do not get in your own way with doubts about your ability to do whatever comes to your mind. Simply write down what comes to you. Your last question of the day is always, what else do I need to know today?"
Your affirmation for today is, “It's now okay to be an expressive, coordinated and effective team player.” Write the affirmation on a 3 x 5 card. Carry it with you, rather than posting it somewhere, and read it numerous times during the day. (If you post it, it will soon become invisible to you and you will get no benefit from it.)
