PAIN - Guilt and Punishment

Welcome to my body-wisdom blog. Each day I have picked a body-wisdom card from my forthcoming book "Suzy Prudden's Body Wisdom Book and Cards." Like a Tarot card, Body Wisdom gives you suggestions for the issues of the day and an affirmation to facilitate moving beyond those issues.

PAIN

Pain Is An Indication Of Self-Punishment In Response To Guilt.

Life issues for pain include all kinds of guilt, real or imagined. When dealing with guilt, it is possible to say to your mind, "I choose not to go there." and to turn the guilt thoughts off.

AFFIRMATIONS FOR PAIN ISSUES
(These are to be used if you have physical or emotional pain and if you
suffer from guilt in any area of your life.)

It is now okay to absolve myself of all past deeds, known and unknown, for which I feel guilty.

PAIN

Pain is an indication of self-punishment in response to guilt. Guilt can stem from any cause, any childhood belief, or as a result of paying too much attention to your critical voice (or someone else’s critical voice). Pain can be relieved as you release your feelings of guilt or fear.

When you draw the Pain Card you are being asked to look at the way you have held yourself guilty for things that have happened in the past. Some of these things you had control over, some you didn't. They may haunt you regularly or they may flit into your mind from time to time. The important thing to realize about guilt from the past is that it is in the past and it cannot be changed. Since it cannot be changed there is no reason to keep revising it. To rid yourself of guilt refuse to let your mind take you to that memory. "I refuse to go there." is what you tell your mind over and over until the thought changes.

To work with Cell Issues ask your Higher Self what you need to know about how you can push the guilt out of your mind - eliminate it from your present. You do this by writing your question with your dominant hand and writing your answer with your non-dominant hand. Your question can be as simple as, “What do I need to do to get rid of this guilty memory?" Do not judge the answers. Do not get in your own way with doubts about your ability to do whatever comes to your mind. Simply write down what comes to you. The last question in any right

Your affirmation for today is, “It is now okay to absolve myself of all past deeds, known and unknown, for which I feel guilty. Write the affirmation on a 3 x 5 card. Carry it with you, rather than posting it somewhere, and read it numerous times during the day. (If you post it, it will soon become invisible to you and you will get no benefit from it.)

My co-author Joan Meijer's first novel "Provenance" is based on the premise that our lives are ruled by early childhood and birth decisions. Her primary character's belief that she is guilty of causing the death of her twin at birth - results in her experiencing physical and emotional pain all her life. The book is available on Kindle, Cafe Press and Smashwords. I have read the book and thoroughly enjoyed it.
